Yocan Dirk Hot Knife

The Yocan Dirk Hot Knife is the latest dabbing tool from the Chinese vaporizer company Yocan. It promises to be a helpful companion to wax concentrate consumers and aims to help those who want to get the most out of their sessions.  

Variable Voltage Setting

The Yocan Dirk Hot Knife has three voltage settings, which are 2.6 volts (V), 3.2 V, and 3.8 V. The lower temperature levels are ideal for cutting softer wax concentrates as the voltage level is enough to break down sticky extracts. Meanwhile, the middle temperature level is good for harder substances as the higher intensity of the heating element is good for melting hardened materials. Meanwhile, the highest temperature profile might be good for priming your concentrates. The heat produced at this setting is enough to nearly extract the active ingredients in the wax concentrates so you will not waste any time when you load them up in the wax chamber.  

Ceramic Tips

As the name suggests, these heated cutting tips are made of ceramic. For those who do not know, ceramic is a material coveted in the vaping industry as it is known for its low and slow heating capabilities, which ensures that the wax concentrates it vaporizes do not reach the point of combustion, which is what happens when the materials get burned.  

The Yocan Dirk Hot Knife comes with the K1 heating tip, which is the one with a rounded tip. Designed to be cross compatible with other Yocan products, it is also compatible with the K2 tip, which uses a sharper, pointed end. The former can be used to scoop up and lay down dollops of waxes while the latter is best used for chopping up sheets of hard wax.
